Just received an email from the realtor. We didn't get the house. We were outbid again people who had mostly cash. Where are these people getting all this cash? I have had a funny feeling about this house. Honestly I am glad we were outbid. I have been really worried there would be issues down the road.
We are going to look at houses on the 27th with the realtor and my parents. It will be fun to bring my parents along.

I'm sorry you didn't get the house, but like you said, you had a funny feeling about it.
As for the lump sum cash, some people just save it and have it in easily accessible form. I know we do. It's not under the mattress or in a savings acct. It's in a RJ Obrien acct. L and I save/invest about 30% of our annual net.
And that's as far as I'm going with money talk.

I dont know how people have cash like that.. thats crazy!
I don't know either. I'd keep some of those email flashers that my REA's office would send me if a house looked interesting to me.. but not THE house.. just to see what it sold for. There were a good handful that went for cash. I was like reeeally? Wish we had some great jobs to be able put that much away haha.
