Sounds delcious. Are they minty? Or do they just resemble candy canes?

Recipe as follows:
crush up two mini candy canes into powder and then dissolve them into a cup of water
crush two additional candy caned into choppy little pieces and use these to rim the martini glass with
measure equal parts of candy cane infused water to one shot each of vodka, peppermint schnapps, and creme de mint
so good!
The recipe I originally found used the liquor straight up, but I wanted to lighten it up and give it a little color!
