Of all you ladies who have a 3 day work week. I have to work Christmas Eve and all day at that. Boooo!
Re: Officially Jealous :-)
If it makes you feel any better... I have a company quarterly meeting at 8:30 Christmas Eve... then, we have our 'party'. um, yah. Party at 9-ish?!?
Sorry you have to work, though.
Boo! I'm also using a vacation day for Thursday. I'm jealous because N is a teacher, and he's off until 1/5!
Sometimes being a teacher sounds really tempting for this reason . . . Then I remember how much work it is.
I have to work from 9-3... We get 3 hours of paid time to leave early. Then I take a 2-hr train to Oceanside to make 6:30 dinner with the fam.
Yeah, it is a ton of work, and you have to have a passion for it, but really - I work just as hard, and my hours are longer, even when you count the grading and planning he does. And yes, I get paid more, but he gets WAY more vacation time than I do. I do think that teachers are not well compensated for what they do, but I still think it's a great job for someone who wants a good family life.
Ditto....Totally sucky! Christmas eve is one of our busiest days behind new Year's eve and Valentine's day!!
