Camera Bag

For the ladies who own a DLSR or are looking to buy one, what do you carry your camera in? I am so used to tossing my point and shoot in my purse but now I will have this expensive camera that as MH says, "better last me for years!" Thanks!

Re: Camera Bag

  • We bought the bag that was part of the package at Best Buy. Holds the camera and film and even diapers!
  • the free one it came with. it's not cute, but it's light, just the right weight for the body+two lenses and a few accessories (extra memory cards, battery, etc.).

i've been eyeing either a lowepro slingshot or one of those neoprene covers so i can just toss it in my big purses.

  • I currently have three bags for different uses:

    (1) Lowepro Slingshot 100.  Well-padded.  Great for travel.

    (2) Shootsac. Pretty but is just neoprene. Good for shooting, not for protection.

    (3) Acme Made Bowler Camera Bag. Cute. Good for when you only use one lens.

I use my Slingshot the most, but it is beginning to fray.

I also have my eye on another bag that shall remain unnamed until I actually get my hands on it.

  • Addendum: Some people really like Crumpler bags. This is a Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home.

But this is not the bag I've been coveting as of late, although I did covet it before.  It comes in several color combinations.

  • I use the same slingshot Weemz uses and love it. It has a litttle extra room that's perfect for shades, a guidebook, etc. I really only use my DSLR for travel so I don't know how it would be for a frequent bag.

PS They have them at Costco for much less than Best Buy, etc

This is what I have and I have been very happy.
