Do you belly dance, or was that someone else? I just starting taking belly dance classes last month. I was taking them three times a week (an hour or so each) but now only twice a week because the third class was cancelled. I am totally loving it!

She teaches out of a studio in Pelham Bay called Bamboo Moves. I totally love it, I even bought myself a hip scarf! LOL I can't believe what it does for your fitness! I'm so sad they took that third class away. If attendance increases they will re-add it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that! For now I take it on Saturdays and Mondays.
Do you also teach it? I can't quite remember.
My hip scarf was only $15 and it has coins on it, so I didn't think the costumes are pricey!?

and regarding pricey costumes...you can get a "cheap" costume for under $200, which is good for student shows and such. But a pro costume is over $400! All of the costumes on my site cost me at least $350 and up to $500 and I bought all of them used! New, those costumes average $800.....
It gets insane!
Have you found www.bhuz.com yet? It is a great site with a forum that I have been a member of since 2004. You can learn a LOT from the ladies on that site, and the swap meet pages are where I buy all my sparklies. :-)
