What are your 2 favorite holiday traditions?

My Favorite Part of Spring~Red Sox Baseball!
Re: Two for Tuesday
Making buckeyes ~ I've been making them with my mom and sister since I was about 12 years old. I started making them with roommates in college and new friends every time we've moved. So glad I've made new friends here since coming to NY that I could share that tradition with.
Driving around to see Christmas lights ~ Gavin loved it this year
I know it's going to be even better next year!
I have so many that I love....this is such a great time of year!
I must must must watch a Charlie Brown Christmas and this old TNT version of a Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart playing Scrooge. It's not the holidays without it.
There's also usually at least 1 gift that I just cannot wait to give to the person. I know they will love it and they are totally not expecting it. This year it's a few. My mom loves salt and pepper shakers and the Peanuts characters. So she is getting a Charlie Brown and Snoopy salt and pepper shaker with a little magnet in it so they stick together and hug. The other is for DH. When we were looking at toys online for my nephews birthdays, we decided to get them these Nerf dart guns (much to my sister's dismay). He was going on and on about how he wished they had these things when he was a kid. So, he's getting one from me. I can't wait to see his face!
I am always big on my family's Christmas Eve traditions. We always eat lasagna by candlelight. I love it! My Mom has been trying to change it on us and my brother and I are like no way we have to have lasagna.
The other tradition is where we sit in the living room and open presents. Ever since I was little we have all had designated spots. I know it sounds wierd, but when I picture Christmas morning and now Christmas Eve we are always in the same spots.
I have a lot more traditions, but I will stick to just two
Aw, I love those! Our family is the same way w Christmas Eve, except we eat Polish food!
I'm enjoying setting up new traditions since DH and I have been living together.
This will be the first year we're home on Christmas morning and I'm looking forward to homemade Belgian waffles and opening our presents in our pjs.
I also love the tree with the lights, and having a date with DH under the tree at some point before it comes down.
My new favorite tradition is when Santa brings emma new Pajamas on Christmas Eve to wear that night into Christmas morning....we've been doing it since she was a baby and I search and search for just the right jammies.
My other favorite tradition is one I share with my girlfriends. Every year on Christmas Eve...we meet at around 10:30 or 11 o'clock at night at a local little dive bar (usually the only one open). We hang out there til midnight so we can say we got to all be together on Christmas since otherwise we probably wouldnt be able to.
On Christmas Eve I like to go to the Candelight Vigil and hear all the pretty hymns and see the church lit by nothing other than candles- we then go to see the lights in the park.
On Christmas morning, while opening gifts with my siblings/HT/close friends, I love eating the egg/ham/cheese bake my mom always made, (that I now make, since my parents are in Florida for Christmas.)
I have to watch Home Alone, I always watch it for the first time each holiday season right when I get home from shopping on Black Friday.
I also love sitting with just the tree on and some Christmas music.
