  • Here's my email... nrbg116@hotmail.com or you can post it here too. Thanks!
  • I have bunches...MANY years of entertaining.  If you'd like any of them, let me know which ones.  I'll also put them on the facebook recipie page for the october knotties!

Goat Cheese Truffles (several variations...think mini individual cheese ball), Deviled Potatoes (picture Deviled eggs only made with small red potatoes), Caramel Apple Dip (layers of swwet cream cheese, caramel topping, toffee chips and sliced apples to dip with, really fast), Cordon Bleu Appetizers (french bread slices with a ham/cheese/mustard topping), Smoky Sweet Bacon Wraps (cocktail wienies wrapped in bacon and sprinkled with brown sugar), Brie and Cranberry Pizza, Reuben Appetizer Dip (sounds odd tastes great), Sausage Stars (people call and ask if I'll be serving them!),  and Baked Onion Dip (kind of like baked artichoke dip only with onion chunks instead).

My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!

  • ok i pulled the recipe out of the book my mama made me, here it is!!:

    Cheeseball for Christmas

1 8 oz.  package of cream cheese

    1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    2 T. worchestershire sauce

    1 T. garlic powder

    2-3 pieces of bacon

    2 green onions chopped

1 small package of chopped pecans to roll ball in

Add  all ingrediants in a bowl except pecans. Mix and form a round ball. Crush pecans while they are still in the package, then pour onto a plate. Roll cheese in pecans to cover. Refrigerate!

I served this with crackers and pita bread, you could also put some veggies out and I think it would still be good with that. Enjoy!

  • yeah - all of these need to be on facebook!

If you want to go really easy, do meatballs.  Everyone loves meatballs.

Buy a bag of frozen ones, microwave them for about 2 minutes (they should still be cold, but not frozen solid).  Dump into a crock pot with your favorite BBQ sauce.

  • Buffalo Chicken Dip or Artichoke/Spinach dip are my favs to bring usually but I don't have the recipes with me.  I can send them if you want though...

Cocktail weenies are another of my favorites - I never make them but I don't turn them down at a party either!

hmmm, my dad makes this amazing tomato basil tart that just uses pillsbury pie crust and lots of garlic and mozzarella cheese.  I have wanted that recipe for a while so maybe this is an excuse to get it so I can provide it to you.  So delicious!

Shrimp Cocktial is easy - not cheap but always a hit too!

  • ooh, another one that I love and is super easy - Baked Brie.  Cut the rind off the top/center but leave a border along the edge and leave the rest as is.  Fill the center part you trimmed out with either raspberry jam or lingonberry jam.  Bake in the oven at 350 for a bit to make the inside melt.  Serve with crackers!
  • I second the shrimp cocktail and the buffalo chicken dip. I also love spinach artichoke dip, basically any kind of cheese ball, and dollar rolls stuffed with ham or chicken salad. Oh, and my family always has to have those little smokies- the mini sausages that are out this time of year. Dump them in a crock pot with BBQ sauce and set out some tooth pics. Can't get any easier than that!
  • I like to buy a round of brie cheese, slice it in half so you have two round pieces, then put dried cranberries and nuts (usually walnuts or pecans) in the middle and on the top, warm it in the oven then serve it on nice crackers.
  • Crab muffins! If you have never had them they are AMAZING!!! It doesn't sound like it when you hear the ingredients but trust me they will rock your world!

1 jar Old English cheese, Kraft **(I use cheese whiz instead)
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 tsp. mayonnaise
    1 (6 oz.) can crab
1 pkg. English muffins (6 pack)
Soften cheese and butter (microwave). Mix cheese, butter, garlic powder and mayonnaise. Drain crab meat and mix in. Split English muffins and spread mixture on 12 muffin halves. Cut into fourths. Bake at 375 degrees for 5-10 minutes
  • Yum... So you think it will be overboard if I make EVERYTHING you ladies suggested! :) It all sounds so good!
  • I love to make spinach artichoke dip and put it in a sourdough bread bowl.  That is definitely my favorite appetizer!
