XP from GP: OMFG!!
I am c&p'ing what I posted on GP for you ladies, because I know lots of us are TTC and you will probably be interested in this....
So, as you guys probably already know, since I've been on here b!tching about it incessantly for the past two days....
Saturday
night at midnight I saw my first signs of spotting. AF usually starts
with spotting for me so I thought that was it. I was only 8 dpo.
Sunday - spotting and crampy all day. Sorry for TMI, but it was brown
and dark red spotting.I was bummed but hoping that AF could hold out
for a few more days so I could at least get a 10 day LP.
Monday morning, my temp dropped, I had crazy cramps and my spotting was pretty heavy. I was positive AF was coming, wore a tampon and called it a day. Mid-day (again...TMI, I'm sorry!) changed my tampon and noticed the spotting had slowed, and was all brown. At night, there was almost nothing on the tampon.
This morning, my temp went back up slightly and there was no spotting to be found. Even checked at my cervix and nothing. So, I POAS....
...and there was a friggin' LINE. So faint that at first hubby thought it didn't count, until I told him a line is a line. And it's a line.
OMG, WTF!?!?! We
are trying so hard not to get excited until I take another test
tomorrow and hopefully get a darker line. But could it be!?!?! Could
all of that mess really have been implantation spotting??? Could I
really have gotten KU'd even with my super short LP?? DH and I were in
a daze this morning - not wanting to get too excited and get our hopes
us, but in complete disbelief and amazed that we were seeing two lines
on the test.

I was going to wait till tomorrow morning to retest, but I might have to do it tonight.....
I don't know how I am supposed to get any work done today. I was on the GP board for an hour this morning and came in late to work (I just got here). And I keep running to the bathrooom to obsessively check for spotting (none yet).

I've heard lots of anecdotes of moms that had a "mini period"/implantation bleeding and got a BFP.

Dont fret too much about the bleeding. Sometimes its just a case of implantation bleeding: people always assume that implantation bleeding is light - alot of the times its heavy, complete with clotting! For those who dont know, its when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall...

Looks like you are pregnant! Congratulations! PMS symptoms are normal and actually it is your body's way of preparing itself for pregnancy. Spotting is completely normal in the first few weeks of pregnancy. I had cramping and all the stuff that comes the few days before AF arrives....after 2 days I got frustrated as took a test and got a BFP and now have a 5 week old baby boy!
My fingers are crossed for you, hoping everything goes smoothly!
