I mean I'm all for helping the environment but it will be a cold day in Hell before someone takes my dog from me!

Re: Dogs bad for the environment????
You know sometimes, things like this really drive me crazy. I am all for hugging a tree, hell I work for an enviornmental company for pete's sake but they fail to see and point out the other side most of the time. Without the process of the foods and without the growing of the crops to make the foods thousands of people would go without a job.
Sure, feeding an animal scraps could reduce a carbon footprint but when the farmers and indusrty workers no longer need to make as much food, we will have more unemployment and higher vet bills since an unregulated diet can be terrible for our pets digestive systems and health. There are far larger issues that we need to be worried about than a little doggy do-do.
This.
I also agree with you Karrey. People can just take things overboard.
Seriously?? For real??
I mean, sure maybe having 18 pets is going a bit overboard and will make your carbon print larger, but so will having 18 kids, and a far greater one at that! Why not focus on that?? Lets talk about that for a second, instead of rewarding people with 18 kids with a TV show.
Agreed!!!! I have to admit, as a hippie child that show drives me crazy. As if having that many kids isn't bad enough they use paper plates/plastic cups and the disposable diapers that they go through, at least get cloth!!! Do you realize how much money they could have saved on diapers alone by now??
I am not even that green friendly and it drives me NUTS. And they drive A BUS. Seriously??? Take a damn plane. Driving 20+ people around on a bus for trips multiple times a year vs. taking a plane that was going to fly whether or not they were on it?
Good comparison!
Why, thank you. I do have my moments, LOL
Agreed 2000%. I could go on and on about how much that irritates me. However, back to OP, I don't know why people like to blow things so hugely out of proportion. Every.little.thing affects the environment. There are trade-offs all over the place. I hate when articles like this come out singling out a specific aspect of life as a way to help the environment. Drives me crazy! And, yes, Kimmy, I agree with you--it'll be a cold day in hell before I give up my dog.
Hallelujah, Sister.
