Here's the post again..

I know posted on this same topic around Thanksgiving but here I go again...be thankful!

I found myself stressed this morning because of money- I can't get everyone what I want to get them and I know my family has similar stresses as well. The service dept at the dealership where my BIL works burned a month or so ago so his income has been cut b/c he isn't able to bill for the hours he used to get- he's the service manager. So I know my sister is stressed about Christmas and money as well.

But....instead of being stressed about what I don't have- I've realized that I need to be thankful for what I am blessed to have.  I have my health, family, a house, dogs, a job, someone in my life that cares about me and some amazing friends (including my wonderful Nesties).

At my job I've already seen 2 of my favorite patients pass in the past 2 weeks and my pastor passed away last Friday (he was 58- no known health issues and left behind 3 beautiful daughter all in their early 20's).  Please, no matter how crazy, be thankful for your family and friends that you surround yourself with. There are so many that are without those people this season and would give all the gifts in the world just to have them back.

I feel like I'm being sappy here but I think we all get going so fast sometimes that we don't realize that tomorrow is not always guaranteed.

Love you guys! Happy holidays!

Re: Here's the post again..

  • Thanks Keri!  I think we all need to stop every once in a while and realize/remember that we have a lot to be thankful for...  especially this time of year.
  • I think sometimes the holidays, which are supposed to be the happiest times of the year, are often the most stressful and it is important to remember what we are thankful for.  So thanks for reminding us to be thankful for what we do have!

oh and I'm thankful for your kiddos too! haha (even the bratty one)...just kidding. See you soon!

  • Thank you so much for the reminder.  I've had a crappy couple of days but, this really helped me to realize how much I do have.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family - they're what is most important.

    Thanks for the post!

  • Love you guys too! That was beautiful!!! :o)
  • Thanks for this awesome post! I know I've been under a ton of stress in the last several months and this is definitely a good reminder of the fact that we should still be thankful because aside from all that stress, we still have amazing things/people/etc in our lives. Thanks Keri!
