Only because I'm a Clueless fanatic
This is a couple days old, but RIP Brittany Murphy. I will always remember her as the girl with kool-aid in her hair who can't believe they have coke at a posh Beverly Hills high school.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

I find this so so sad. And while they are saying natural causes, what healthy 32 year old has a heart attack? Clearly she had some issues (ie all the prescriptions found at the scene, getting fired from a movie for crazy behavior, etc)

All the news I've read so far is very non-committal, which is good. It's not great to jump to conclusions on cause of death. But we'll all get to hear the real story in a few weeks when the autopsy results are in. Her family said she was sick for days with flu like symptoms. It would be awful if this was an H1N1 complication, but I doubt that will be the case.

Toxicology isn't revealed yet though...
The amount and kind of prescriptions found in Brittany's home have been revealed including Topamax for migraines and seizures, the anti-inflammatory Metylprednisolone, Fluoxetine for depression, Klonopin for anxiety, Carbamazepine for Diabetes and bipolar disorder, Ativan for anxiety, Vicoprofen for pain, Propranolol for hypertension and heart attack prevention, Biaxin an antibiotic, Hydrocodone for pain and various vitamins.

I love Clueless. I've probably seen it about 100 times since I was 10 but it definately took me a couple of years to figure out that Tai was talking about coke the drug and not coke the drink.
And i think it's very strange she was on all those medications, especially one that's supposed to prevent her from having a heart attack.
Well, it appears this one didn't work!
Ok, I'm sure celebrities (some) can be a huge PITA at times and complain about multiple issues, etc., but shouldn't their doctors be more responsible?! If she had that many things wrong with her as a young adult, she wouldn't have been able to function! Yes, I understand she did recently have issues on a movie set, but this was probably after being overmedicated. That's just my educated guess. We all know Michael Jackson was overmedicated (to the extreme) and Heath Ledger was given a dangerous drug combo. So sad.

Tai was a great character.
"Cher, I don't want to do this anymore. And my buns ? they don't feel nothin' like steel."
I still use this line in daily life.
I can't believe I've lost two actors in my top two favorite movies this year!! (The other being Patrick Swayze)

Haha, Mames, that's a great line. My favorites (although I don't get to use them in every day life) are "You're a virgin who can't drive" and "Don't the losers prefer that grassy knoll over there?" I also think of her every time I hear the word "sporadically".
Such a great movie. Must watch again when I get home.
(PS--I'm still not over the death of Heath Ledger. I get sad every time I watch one of his movies.)

She had a heart murmur, and she was also feeling sick - according to her husband, and people.com

Ditto ditto ditto. Everything.
And speaking of Heath, I hated when people criticized the acclaim he got over The Dark Knight. I'm sorry - dead or not - that performance was brillz.

This. Also, the "Rollin' with the homies" and the "I really hate when his you-know-what is crooked" (accompanied by a bread stick) scenes.

I'll be honest. I've never really known if she meant straight as in straight vs. gay or straight as in "straight and narrow" non-drug abusers. I'm thinking that given the time the movie was made, non-drug users. But I've never been really sure.

Because Cher was guilty because she knew WASN'T being a real friend -- she just wanted to do a makeover project!
And OMG this is why I love this board. Because I can interpret "Clueless" with you ladies.

There was a girl - and I don't know her name either. She gave me love and I said I'd never leave her. And if I did, I'd come back some day and find her. Maybe I will I should write down a reminder. One day...one day I suppose. Someday...someday who knows!
--> Is now in my head because of this conversation.
The whole situation is shady and it's just very sad.

I don't know, Mames. I still think it was a reference to her drug use.

i'm so, so sad about this.
in most of the reports i read, it did say that a lot of prescription pills were found in the home, but they belonged to brittany, her husband, and her mom...i think it's possible that the pills listed may not all have been hers...
also, i have mitro valve prolapse, and while it's not always serious, it can be:
Most of the time, the condition is harmless and does not cause symptoms. Symptoms that do occur can be treated and controlled with medicine or surgery. However, some irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) associated with mitral valve prolapse can be life-threatening.
just a thought. i hate to assume that everyone in hollywood is on drugs, but that's just me.
