Has anyone ever had their wisdom teeth come in? I think one is coming in and it HURTS the tooth is already through my gums, but all around it feels like the gum is swollen and just sensitive. Has anyone else experienced this? I really don't have the money this time of the year to go to the dentist and maybe get a wisdom tooth pulled out. Any other options to be able to hold that off for a month or so?

I put getting mine out for 5 years. Please don't wait that long. They made my TMJ so terrible and I had so many problems that my dentist refused to do any more work till they came out.
I had all 4 and of those 4...3 were rotted out, 3 were impacted and 1 had broken in half and the nerves were exposed. I had them all out at the same time with out going under. Even though I was awake for the entire thing I strongly recomend gettting them done sooner than later. I have terrible teeth anyway (thanks genetics) so mine might be a bad case but if they hurt they need to come out.
Can you look into a study to get them out?
I went through that a long time ago and I remember the pain very well. Have you considered Scirex or PPD?

DH had his removed from there and had no problems at all. They're done by certified oral surgeons. They're simply testing you with the pain meds. If you get the placebo - when they ask how your pain is - if you tell them you're in pain they'll give you the real pain med. You very well may get the real pain med right off the bat. Just a suggestion since I know how expensive it can be.
DH did this too and didn't have an issues either!
I woke up one morning with the whole left side of my face swollen and red. It hurt so bad. After being on antibiotics and pain killers they were able to take it out a week later. The oral surgeon gave me laughing gas, and a couple shots to numb the area, barely put the tool under my tooth and it popped out onto my chest. He kind of laughed and said that doesnt happen very often.
Second one removed wasnt as easy to get out..but they do give you great drugs
I've put mine off for over 2 years now, sadly. My dental COBRA didn't get processed correctly and then I lost my shot (I was out of work at the time, perfect timing), and now I have no insurance. Joy. The initial swelling will most likely go down, but be careful not to bite your inside cheek back there, because it will take forever to heal! You can probably put this off a month or two, but I definitely don't recommend waiting as long as I have. In the past couple months, I've had cyclical pain that gets to the point where I can't even open my mouth up to eat.
ETA: Oh, and if you're on any sort of medicine, including allergy medicine or birth control, they won't let you do the studies. I've tried.

Funny, I was just thinking about asking for oral surgeon recs today because I've been having some trouble with my gums on one side of my mouth and think it might be my wisdom teeth.
I've put off getting them out for years, too, and a couple of months ago we lost our dental insurance because our company was sold to new owners who don't know wtf they're doing. I'm looking into getting on Cobra, at least.
Anyway, I've been using liquid Kanka...it's for canker sores usually, and it numbs the area and forms a kind of protecting seal over it. I've also read that rinsing your mouth with warm salt water and just keeping the area clean helps.
