Christmas eve: my gma makes a huge gumbo and my uncle fries soft shell crabs, and of course there is always a ton of desserts..
Christmas day: dad and dusty are frying a turkey, bbq-ing bacon wrapped, cream cheese and jalapeno stuffed backstrap, and a brisket, im making Barefoot Contessa's Smashed Sweet potatoes but im adding a struesel topping and a cheesecake, mom is making spinach gratin, mashed potatoes, and my nana is making her dressing, mac and cheese and pecan pie
christmas night: gumbo at D's aunts, and i have no idea what else..
Re: whats on your christmas menu?
OMG that sounds so fabulous!
We have the typical turkey, ham, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, stuffing, etc.
On Christmas Eve we have brunch with H's extended family.
This is legal advice. Circa 2011
that sounds fabulous!
My aunt asked for heay appetizers. So it won't be nearly as great as yours.
John's mom will do a roast tenderloin, Yorkshire pudding, green beans, and probably something else, amazing. Then the leftovers are just as wonderful.
mmmm that all sounds wonderful!
Christmas Eve we'll be with the IL's, I have no idea what we're having, but I'm making a white wine cake to bring.
Christmas Day we'll wake up, do Santa with Elise and eat some cinnamon rolls I plan on preparing on Christmas Eve and refrigerating. Then we'll head to my parents house and have the fried turkey and all the fixings there. Saturday we're planning on going to NO for the day.
Brit, I'm coming to your house for the holidays. That all sounds fabulous. As does Jenn's brunch. I lurve brunch.
Christmas Eve lunch is at my parents with my dad's family. We'll have turkey but IDK what else.
Christmas Eve dinner is at the inlaws. We always have chicken and sausage gumbo.
Christmas morning is back to my mom's for homemade cinnamon rolls (so farking excited for this).
Then Christmas lunch we'll be making a stop at the home of some of my inlaws friends. No clue what they are cooking.
And finally, Christmas night is at my SIL's where they are frying a turkey.
I'm full just reading that.
