Need suggestions for bachelorette party?!?

I am throwing a bachelorette party for my BFF, I am from Amarillo so have limited knowledge about DFW.  I know she would like to go to downtown fort worth, and we are going to try to set a pub golf sort of theme.  So...I need 9 good bars downtown FW that we could go to, and Pete's is already on the list.  Also I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation for a limo company.  She lives in North Richland Hills so we would be traveling from there to Downtown and back.  Any ideas would help!!

Please let me know if you need more information!

TIA

Re: Need suggestions for bachelorette party?!?

  • Downtown/Sundance Square

    8.0

    Flying Saucer

    The Library

City Streets (really corny but would be good for a BP)

    Outside of downtown/Stockyards:

    Billy Bobs

    White Elephant

    Rodeo Exchange

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Downtown:

    Reata rooftop bar

    Fox and the Hound

Outside downtown but near (on 7th near Montgomery Plaza area)

    Chimys

    Poag Mahones

    Capital Bar

    Pourhouse

  • Houston St., Bar 9, Patty Reds, Dirty Murphy's,  Fat Daddies, 8.0 is a good one, City Streets (is a big club type place, different teamed rooms, pop, 80's, whatev)... and out my Montgomery Plaza is the new Pour House. Good luck, sounds like fun!

  • Thanks!! Those help a lot!!
  • are you wanting hole-in-the-wall pub, club, sports bar?  I can help you narrow down if you want... :-)
  • Well, we are wanting places that preferably don't have cover charges since we will be going to 9 different places.  Right now I am thinking that we will end the night at Pete's.  We are more of a low key group so hole-in-the-wall places and pubs would probably be better for us.

    Thanks!

  • here are a couple of fun ones...and I'm pretty sure none charge a cover.  (I'm listing non-downtown options since I think a lot of places downtown charge a cover on weekends)

    West 7th/ So7 area:

    Capital Bar: http://www.examiner.com/x-10637-Fort-Worth-Bars-Examiner~y2009m9d22-Capital-Bar

it's a newish bar - no cover... fairly trendy and always a good crowd.

     The Pour House:  http://www.pour-house.com/

More of a sport's bar atmosphere but should be fun.  They also have live music and karaoke.

    7th Haven:

it's hit or miss but a great late night weekend bar.

     Tillman's Roadhouse: http://www.tillmansroadhouse.com/

My new current favorite.  It's actually a resturant but also has a bar area with cozy fireplaces outdoors and a big rectangular bar with lots of young professionals.

    A little further south:

    Finn MacCools - http://www.finnmaccoolspub.com/

another hole-in-the-wall pub - heavy on the atmosphere in a historic building.

A little further west of 7th:

    The Gingerman - http://ftworth.gingermanpub.com/

and if you want true hole-in-the-wall...this one's for you:

Ye Olde Bull & Bush: http://www.yeoldbullandbush.com/entry.htm

    hope this helps!
