My Boobs...a vent

Ok - obviously I have a large chest...but the baby hormones and such are making them grow even bigger.

I measured as a 40/42 DDD for the wedding.  My weight hasn't changed since then.

As of today I am now a 42/44 F headed to a G.  ugh.

There are only 3 bra styles at LB that go this big...one is a balconette that doesn't work for me b/c the underwire goes too high in the center, the other is a hard cup that digs too far up into my armpits and is scratchy, and the 3rd is a see through lace number that is comfortable for about 5 hours until the lace rubs and gives me "bra bite".

Looks like I am headed to the specialty shop in town that is known for high fitting costs and being pushy about specific styles and bras that you still have to order and can't return.  poop.

Any good online bra places that have "full figure" and a decent return policy?

  • I am in an 36 F (hard as HELL to find) now and can't find anything other than at the specialty local store that sounds similar to yours.  One of our maternity stores here has some great full figure bras that run up to that size and is decently priced and returnable. Not sure if you have anything like that there though.

  • I've never purchased anything here, but I've read a lot of positive reviews of Figleaves.com, particularly from girls posting similar stories on the F&B board.

I am in awe of their selection.  Thank you for posting that.
  • Wow---Sorry it's not easy to find some bras, let alone anything pretty! I can't imagine...  (and I am not one who goes into VS for bras, either...)

But that website looks really neat! Thanks for sharing!

  • I'm a 34 DDD (near impossible to find) who went up to a 34 G while preggo or BF'ing.

Luckily, Motherhood had 36 F and G.  No 34 F or G.  I think they will have your size, and their bras are inexpensive.  So if you hate them, they're only temporary and they're cheap.

I really do need to go to figleaves!  Maybe when we get our tax refund.
