Funny Bell-Ringing Story

Greg and I rang the bell last night for the Salvation Army at the local mall (one of the entrances with a vestibule, so two sets of doors, ~4-5' in between.)

A ~40-year old mom is exitting the mall with her mother, who is holding her granddaughter's hand. The granddaughter is ADORABLE - this little itty bitty pixy with a skirt, white tights, etc.  About halfway through the vestibule, the little girl starts pulling on Grandma's hand to move her toward the red kettle by us.  Grandma and Mom see where this is going and say "No, not right now..."

The little girl turns from a cute little pixy into a NIGHTMARE. Like almost instantly.  Her tugging gets worse and she's leaning at ~45 degree angle AWAY from Grandma (who's since made it to the doors leaving the mall and has opened it with one foot out.)  They manage to drag the little girl outside before she drops to the ground, starts kicking her feet and yelling (full on tantrum minus the head pounding against the ground.)  "I WANNA PUT A DOLLAR IN THE BUCKET!!"

TOO. EFFING. FUNNY.  No doubt they were embarrassed, but it had to downright mortifying your daughter wants to give money to a charity and you said no. LOL  (Maybe the Mom & Grandma didn't have any money to give to her, but to just say no?  Only infuriated the girl more!)
