Roll call: Who's here today?
I'm at work til *crossing fingers* 1-2pm.
I don't think anyone here is actually doing work, so I'm counting on the Nest to provide some entertainment.

Disappointing, Leigha!! Work is way overrated. (btw, no response from AH)

I'm taking Buckeyes and Peanut Brittle to Iowa, I sent Brown Sugar Chocolate Fudge and Cookies-n-Cream Fudge to the ILs Christmas party.
The melting chocolate is actually really easy -- you can even do it in the microwave, use the defrost setting (more room for error) and stir every 15-30 seconds. The key is to take it out just before its completely melted and stir until its smooth.

I never knew about the defrost setting. I will be trying this next time I do cookie dough truffles!

kaley. hold up - what are cookie dough truffles? My H would definitely be down for anything cookie dough related.
hawki - my stupid defrost setting is broken... or something. Can I still do it on high heat?

I made them for Christmas last year and have had to bring them to every family gathering since.

Can you adjust the power level? Most microwaves let you adjust the power level. Maybe set it at 50%.

You can, just watch it very closely, stop and stir every 15 seconds or so.

Kaley - thanks. I think DH would love these.
hawki - I'll hover.
leigha - that setting doesn't seem to work either. It's a super cheap microwave.

I'm here all day today and then a half day tomorrow.
I think I'm going to try those Buckeyes tonight!
Here! till 5:30, ugh....
and now i'll be drooling all day over everyone's awesome looking Christmas treats.
I'm here until 12.
Fail of the day. Everyone brought in presents for each other. I'm new. I didn't. Therefore, only person to not give out presents. Couldn't someone have told me?!?!?!?
