Since we do some of these things over the next few days, I vote we combine them for today since most people won't be around the rest of the week.
I'll start:
WTF, SparkLeader... THIS is why I so rarely come over to that SparkTeam. You are quite abrupt to some people (er... me!) and it comes off that you act that way because I'm the younger one on the team! (She posts this Scattergories thing that you fill in based on the letter of the alphabet. I apparently posted more than one answer at a time and she flipped!
Others post more than one answer and no one cares. She actually had the nerve to ERASE my answers for all but one of the questions!)
Why do we have to treat "inner office communications" like they're black ops missions?! The upper management in this office said he doesn't expect people here tomorrow after 1:30-2:00 in an email to the middle managers of this office. Of course, it's trickled down, but my manager acted like it was this big secret, never actually shared the email and then told the other CW here tomorrow "Wait until Paula leaves and then you can leave at like 3:00." She told me I could come in early to leave early (Um... I'm already here at 6:45!) NO ONE EFFING CARES if you leave early. Except my manager, who's afraid all hell will break lose. ![]()
Re: WTF/Confessions/Random Thoughts Combined
Oh I so needed this today, I think I may need one of Val's heels on this one.
John's brothers wife decided that their new cat's name is Jack, yes Jack (some of you may have seen our little conversation on my FB page), the funny thing is they named their first born Sydney, after we had already had Sydney the dog for two years. I got pissed when I saw the cat's name above the picture and said in not so many words that she needed to look elsewhere for her names other than our house. Then her STUPID friend who she got the cat from had the nerve to write something about how it's funny how people assume things...you have no idea you stupid B! 'm so mad, she claims she didn't know the babies name was Jack, when it's been our boy name all along since we were having Cate and has even made comments about his name on John's FB. I'm furious! John is telling me that it's no big deal, she's an idiot etc. I wouldn't care so much is his name didn't have so much meaning behind it.
One day my DH was over at a friend's house playing poker. This friend is someone he sees maybe twice a year and as far as I know, doesn't hold regular phone conversations with. Well, said friend said, when you come over you can have some of this Johnny Walker ::Insert some color label here:: Well when DH get's there, everyone else has drank it and then DH jokingly was like, you can't promise something and not have it. Open the other bottle and if you have a boy, I'll buy you X lable (at close to $200 a bottle ) and a girl X label (at $75 a bottle). Well, they just had their kid yesterday and it's a boy. Now, DH is stuck buying a $200 bottle of liquor for a friend he barely sees. His reasoning, the friend will need it more than you think. I'm sorry but new parenthood is not that stressful and I highly doubt he'll be sitting there drkinking while his wife is tending to the baby.
HE IS ON MY LIST!
I'd be so pissed at DH!
We are doing special take-out.
.: Diary of a Recovering Runner :.
Mmmmm, fondue.
But I really need to stop running late in the mornings.
(I was going to take out the tenderloin and shrimp for tomorrow so they'd be thawed tonight and I could cut it up/peel it tonight.)
Now I wish we had the laptop we'd talked about getting but have decided against because I'd like to be able to play this Pandora station at home upstairs.
I've gotten gifts from 3 of my employees.
I did not buy gifts for any of my employees. It's not that I don't appreciate them (I do) but we have 25 employees now. I (along with my partners) gave them all bonuses this year (some got over $2500). I shouldn't feel guilty, but I do.
Maybe between you and your partners you guys can provide breakfast one morning. Nothing fancy but just a little thank you. If you split it between your partners it wouldn't be that expensive.
