Re: *Milliechel*
Good Morning! It was THE FASTEST, best trip. To sum it up, we pretty much just ate and walked and looked.
Monday we got in a little later than planned because our flight was delayed until 3am (yuck!). We got to the hotel around noon and dropped our bags off, chose a Greek restaurant for lunch, then started our self guided walking tour. We went all through upper east side where our hotel was, Central Park (and the GREAT little Christmas Market they had set up there), and around Rockefeller Center. We checked in to the hotel, and got cleaned up then realized we forgot a jacket for DH (all the dining venues at the hotel require a jacket) so we had an excuse to go shopping at H&M which was fine by me! We pretty much just ate dinner and went to sleep after that... we were exhausted after overnight travel and so much exploring.
Tuesday we took the train to Philidelphia where my grandparents picked us up and we spent the rest of the day with them and other family at their house in New Jersey. It was good to have some time to connect with everyone even though it was a short visit. We got back to the hotel around midnight.
Wednesday we headed to the discount ticket booth first thing where we grabbed great seats at about 1/3 of the normal price for Ragtime. I TOTALLY reccommend seeing it if you have a chance. I had seen a non professional production before and loved it. I'm a musical theatre person so I was crossing my fingers that DH would like it (he doesn't care for theatre) and he said he "really liked it." It's more story driven than song and dance even though it's almost all sung. After that we had dinner at an amazing Cuban place (I can get the name and address if you're interested) then just walked and looked around until we were too tired to go any further. We didn't make it inside any museums or buildings we thought we might want to check out, but we saw everything we wanted to see from the outside and we were totally happy with that.
It was a great experience. I would have added some days if we could have afforded it and could have worked it out with jobs but other than that, we wouldn't have changed anything!
(Goodness! I just wrote alot!)
