Confessions anyone?

Re: Confessions anyone?

  • I haven't done any work today.

I haven't talked to my mom since 7/4/09; This will be my first Christmas without being near my parents. I feel bad for my dad, and wish he would come over (mom and dad are living together, but "seperated").  BUT, I'm looking foward to a holiday w/ loved one's w/ no fighting (something rare @ my mom's house).

I'm scared to cook a turkey; Pizza is our back up.

My husband and the Cat (Oliver), have presents under the tree.  As of this morning, I still do not. (I've been good!)

  • I've been too guilty of the "one for you, one for me" method of shopping this season.

I am dreading opening up gifts from our parents. They're just not that great at gift giving, and I'd rather get nothing than have them waste their money.

I haven't talked to my sister in months. I'm still bitter at her behavior at my wedding. But she's going through a divorce, and I feel guilty for not being there for her and for letting her be the reason I haven't seen my nieces.

I hide any friend on FB who doesn't know the difference between you're and your and other offenses to my eyes.

hahah! I was this close to hiding someone on FB the other day who is a repeat offender of the dreaded "to" and "too" confusion... it drives me nuts!

Also, I confess to being bummed that DH and I agreed not to give eachother gifts this year... We're trying to save up money, but it's still kind of a drag to have nothing for eachother to open on Christmas.

  • I get upset when people tell me, "please don't buy gifts for us this year, because we're not getting you anything."

Uh...I give for the joy of giving not to see what is given in return...but THANKS for making me feel underappreciated and less than worthy of your Christmas spirit!
