Cold Weather Girls, Come In!
Mike and I are spending Christmas with friends in Washington state this year. From what I hear, it's cold in WA, and this southern gal doesn't have a warm-weather wardrobe. Heck, I wear cardigans in the winter time here! I do have a black peacoat, a North Face APEX jacket, and a snowboarding jacket though (that I've only ever tested out on CA slopes).
Here's where you come in: what do I need to pack to stay warm, without investing in warm-weather clothing that I'll never wear again? Is there a way to layer and still be fashionable?? Any ideas of cute/warm outfits that you like to wear would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Cold Weather Girls, Come In!
You'll probably just have to layer. Thin layers. Cami/tank, lightweight long-sleeve tees, thin sweaters, and peacoat. Don't forget a hat and gloves!
My current winter wardrobe, as you well know, involves many sweaterdresses, knit tunics, leggings, and boots.

I'm in upstate NY where its always cold. I agree with Mamie about layering lots of thinner shirts/sweaters. Hats, scarves, gloves/mittens are a must! I'd also recommend warm waterproof-ish shoes like boots.
Also, when its REALLY cold, sometimes ill throw leggings on under my jeans. it's a little extra warmth and you can't tell!

I second this and the layering, that is vital! Cover your ears, wear warm socks, and gloves while you are out and that helps a TON!
