Coupon sherpa is great! It will locate stores around you and the coupons they're offering and you can use them right from the phone. ShopSavvy will let you scan a barcode in a store and will tell you what the price is at other stores and on websites.
Urbanspoon is also a good one if you're like us and can't ever decide where to go eat. There's also one called Where that will give you the closest cheap gas, nearby restaurant reviews from Yelp, local news, weather, etc.
Coffee Finder will tell you where the nearest Starbucks is. Redbox will do the same for their kiosks and if you're looking for a particular movie, it will tell you which ones have it. Fandango has a good one for theatre times and tix.
You need to have some kind of browser app, whether it's Google or Bing or Google Earth b/c Safari can be a pain and slow.
I don't have the iphone (yet) but my cousin developed this one to help you find your car.It's free and has ton's of cool stuff.
