I'd forgotten to tell people my super grinchy story for this Christmas. ![]()
This past Sunday, we had Christmas with MIL, FIL, SIL, her boyfriend/fiance/whatever and the niece (who, btw, isn't quite the terror I was afraid she would be, but is still a little bit of a sh!t. Just sayin'.).
Since making conversation with SIL and BF/FI/whatever is about as pleasant as having teeth pulled, I bunkered down on the couch after we ate for a little nap. I wasn't exactly sleeping, just lying down with my eyes closed, but almost immediately people started whispering, "Aw, poor thing is so tired with the twins...we'll let her rest." I got to drowse/lay blissfully alone in my own company for nearly three hours while everyone else was outside talking and it was AWESOME.
And yes, I know I probably sound super grinchy and anti-social, and I don't care. I don't like trying to make conversation with the world's most irrational woman and the guy who mostly just grunts, and since this was the only year I'll be able to get away with this, I took it. ![]()
