VENT: MH Waits Until TODAY....?

To ask what WE sent to his parents for Christmas??? Seriously? WTF. I want to kill him. They are YOUR parents, perhaps you could have asked this question oh, I don't know, a week ago? Because if you say nothing to me, then they get nothing - like MY parents. Ugh. I am so irritated right now. And I (not WE) am off to the mall on Christmas Eve at 7 am for this.

Eeek! Poor you =( Well, we ended up going to the mall last night for some last min shopping (we just found out that two of MH's cousins from Canada are going to be joining us for Christmas) and I had to say that it wasn't as crazy or as crowded as I expected it to be, especially for 7pm. Hopefully it's the same today, especially at 7am.

wow I am surprised you are going out - I would totally make him do it, esp since I hate the holiday crowds. at least they are local so you can do that... our parents are both out of state so it would be way too late to get them anything at this point.

Oh, Jamie, they aren't local. I had to mail it today too and of course it'll be late. Fortunately they are in the state so they should have it on Saturday. I wound up stopping at the grocery store and picking up a gift card for them and popping it in a card. So irritated with MH.

Eeek! I can't believe he left it so late!

I gave up this battle years ago- I do all the Christmas shopping for everyone in both of our families. Sad

Probably should have fought it until the bitter end, but Ben is, well...not so good at picking out gifts for most people (other than yours truly, where he always does quite well). I realized this sad fact the year he selected some truly hideous placemats as a gift for his mother - I didn't want my name anywhere near those things, so from that point forward, I've done all of the shopping, although I do make him contribute suggestions.

What a stinker! Sad

I hate when MH pulls that! Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way on that so I always have to do our parents first thing (a month or two ahead) for this reason. That way, I get it out the door for HIS parents on time. UGH! So unfair that it is assumed WE (and I mean us ladies) have to get this task done.
