Oh snap!

In the process of making some DIY gift tags for my presents, I managed to dump half a quart of black paint all over the carpet in the hallway! The can fell out and the lid popped off...oh boy is DH gonna be trilled when he sees it! Haha!

I put a photo in my blog of the damage, and also some photos of DIY chalkboard gift tags/labels...too cute and super easy! :)

Re: Oh snap!

  • I love the chalkboard idea! So cute!

  • OHHH my god thats so bad!!!! I went to my moms house a couple months ago and brought my dog. He somehow got my nailpolish and opened it and dumped red nailpolish ALL OVER the carpet. It was horrible!!! I got alcohol and hairspray and kept patting and dumping that stuff on it and I eventually got it all out. That is a bigger mess than mine tho!!

  • That sucks that you spilled on your carpet!!  But your projects are so cute!!  I didn't know that you could use the chalkboard paint on any surface I guess.  I may have to try that on something, hmm.  Thanks for the inspiration.  LOVE the tags!

  • Oh no!  Good for you keeping an okay attitude about it!  I love both the windows and the tags... such great ideas!
  • Bummer about the chalkboard paint on the floor, but your project turned out so well.  I want to make a chalkboard for our dining room now!

  • I love your projects! Such great ideas! I did the same thing with a can of white paint when we first moved into our house. We were painting the walls and radiators and I accidentally spilled the paint all over the rug and splashed onto the newly painted wall . The spot was much bigger than yours and a true pain to clean up. In fact you can still see it now if you look really hard. I took a black and white picture of it and it looked like a crime scene photo. :)
