Did anyone get a bad gift?
I feel horrible about this and I have NEVER had to return a Christmas gift. This year, we have about 4 or 5 gifts to return and I can't shake the guilt for some reason! We are so incredibly lucky to get anything at all, I feel like a spoiled brat for returning something.

Re: Did anyone get a bad gift?
We always get something random from DH's parents/sister. This year he got a sweater that is just kind of scary. We can't complain. They're very sweet and really that's all that matters. There's just always something funny that makes us say "huh??"
2010 Highlights
9/26 Adirondack Marathon 5:11:37 (major knee pain, but hey, I finished!)
2011 Races and Results
5/29 Buffalo Marathon (5:25 - not pretty, just trying not to get heatstroke!)
9/25 Adirondack Marathon (take 2!)
One of these days I'll have a good marathon!
It is a running joke in our house just how much bad stuff my MIL will give us. This year I spent Saturday making returns. The kicker this year was an odd piece of glass "art". She saw it was red and yellow (the colors of our dining room) and thought it matched. It just isn't our style...and we already have plenty of stuff in there. DH got several shirts he didn't like, I got some weird salt and pepper shakers all from MIL. I get slightly worried returning things because sometimes she asks about the stuff. She always gives us junk from her house, I will take it since she is so hard to say no to, and then to make it all worse she will sometimes ask for it back.

I got mostly gift cards (which is what I asked for) so that prevented many returns. LOL!
I did get a HIDEOUS necklace from my cousin. It looks like it came out of a vending machine. The weird part is we did a secret santa thing this year so you only had to buy for one aunt/uncle/cousin, rather than everyone, so with the money people saved you'd think people would do something nice. But no... oh well.
I shouldn't complain though. We are really blessed to have happy and healthy family and for the most part I was spoiled rotten.
I absolutely ADORE my snuggie. It is so comfortable and so wonderful. I hope you give it a try and like it! I keep one in the car (DH likes to keep it cold and I like it warmer, so that is the perfect solution) and I have one for home.
My sister was totally anti-snuggie, but then she tried it and fell in love with it. I got her one for Christmas and she wore it in the car on the way home!

SIL bought me a pair of decorative rubber cleaning gloves.
Nuff said.
I returned a few pairs of pants, but just exchanged them for different pants. They weren't really a bad gift.. I just wanted different colors/styles.
The only bad gifts were the christmas decorations/dishtowels/candle holders etc that I have no room for..(but not something I'd return). DH's cousin knitted eve a bib and a "burp cloth".. but they both look remarkably like (ie ARE) the pot holders that you learn to make when you first learn to knit or in like home ec class in middle school..
