About 7 years ago, I found a lengthy list of journal prompts online. I have NO idea where I found it. I saved it to my computer, and I've since edited them a bit - deleted ones I didn't like, changed some wording, etc.
I used these prompts 7 years ago to make Journal Jars for all my co-workers. Cute, decorated mason jars filled with the prompts meant to create a journal about your life and history to pass on to your children. I was asked to make one again recently and it got me thinking. I decided to make them and sell them on etsy, but I'm worried about using the prompts that I found online without giving credit to the source. Would you be worried about that? Or am I over-thinking this?
Re: Do you think this is "legal"?
Chances are the original prompts you lifted were lifted from somewhere else....
If you googled journal prompts, would you recognize your list? Maybe do a really quick search to see if it's still front and center? Also, you might see the repetition from list to list which might help ease your mind.
