Do you give gift receipts?
I always include gift reciepts with my gifts "just in case". I know what it's like to get something that doesn't fit, isn't right, whatever and it is just so convenient. It dawned on me this year though (with all of the pink I would have LOVED to exchange, especially since I now have over 40 outfits sized 0-3, yes I counted) that a lot of people don't do that. Not only that, my smom took the tags off of everything so I don't even know what store they came from. Still in the packaging, but no tags. Am I the exception here?
Re: Do you give gift receipts?
I always give gift receipts but know many that dont. After working in retail for as long as I did, I know how very important they are. I also have received gifts with the tags cut off and it infuriates me to no end. I hate getting "stuck" with something and especially something like a baby gift that will never get used. Sorry but there is no way baby will wear 40 0-3 outfits....
I wish more people understood that a lot of places (BRU, Target, etc.) wont even take things back without a receipt even if it is a registered item. Silly people.
I do when I remember. This year a lot of the gifts I have DH's family were from a craft show, so they were non-returnable. Everything I gave DH was off his Amazon Wish List, so I knew he wouldn't return anything.
I'm really good about gift receipts for baby showers, wedding showers, etc. I was so grateful when people included them at my bridal shower because I ended up with duplicates.
