the people upstairs...

ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! I swear they must be giants, right now they're tromping around their apartment for some reason. I dont know how many bedrooms they have, but seriously why would you be stomping around your apartment for 45 min???? I'm so annoyed!

Re: the people upstairs...

  • This is why I left apartment living for good. Neighbors with adjoining walls/ceilings, etc. drive me nuts. In my last apartment, I had one neighbor (don't know which) who would start blasting music every morning (including weekends) so loud and with so much bass, it vibrated right through my bed.  Earplugs and covering my head didn't work due to the vibrations. And my upstairs neighbors were elephants, too! Also, there would occassionally be periods of time 30-60 minutes with intermittent thuds. My brother walked up there one day and happened to catch the door open and see kids sliding off the couch onto the floor. Slide, thud, slide, thud.

In other words, I totally feel your pain!

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • Ugh for you.

And I'll share a funny apartment story. I lived in campus apartments for law school so you pretty much knew everyone.  My second year in the same apartment, the old upstairs neighbor saw me and came and apologized.  She said that her roommate loved rearranging the furniture.

!!?!  My roommate and I were just astounded!  We *thought* it sounded like the furniture was being moved once a week, but we couldn't believe that was really what they were doing!  Heck, the apartments came furnished and there just wasn't that much of it or that many different arrangements one could do!
