Blah Monday
I'm guessing most people are off since it's more dead than usual here.

Our weekend was good. As I posted in one of the Christmas posts - Saturday we exchanged the vacuum our parents gave us for a Dyson, and we looove it. Then went home and just relaxed.
Yesterday was bittersweet. It was a nice day, but I said goodbye to the family dog last night. My parents put her to sleep this morning :-( It's good though, because she has been sick for a while and really deteriorated the last couple weeks.
So sorry to hear about your family dog. It sounds like it was for the best though.
My weekend was nice & quiet. DH was working Sat & Sun night so I just did a lot of reading, cleaning, trashy tv watching, etc.

We didn't do much this weekend- mostly just some cleaning, returning a few gifts, and now I'm going to start packing for our anniversary trip!

Thanks guys. It really was for the best. This is going to sound weird and maybe awful, but it's almost like she's been gone for a while. She got bloat last summer and was miraculously saved by surgery. Ever since she hasn't really been the same. She bounced back a bit, but they found that she had cancer too and she never really was the same energetic dog she used to be.
So in a way I feel like she has been gone for a while, and this other strange dog was just living in her place. It wasn't that hard for me to deal with her dying because I feel like she did a long time ago.
Is that awful or do you know what I mean?
Jcam-so sorry about your puppy. We recently went through that with J's family dog. It was the same kind of stuation, everyone felt for awhile that she was gone. Don't feel bad about that at all. She's in a better place.
In answer to your post- my weekend was nice. As I mentioned in an earlier post, J and I got Wii and Super Mario and pretty much played that every spare second we had!
