Today's adventure: I had just finished painting our downstairs TV room and sat down to fire up the laptop for a bit of nesting. Out of the corner of my eye I saw that Butter was sniffing around the paint supplies. Before I could get up or even yell at her, she walked right through the paint tray! I jumped up and ran after her...little white pawprints across the TV room, out in the hall, up the steps...finally I caught her in the kitchen.
So, I wrestle her to the kitchen sink and start soaking her feet (she has long fur and toe tufts, so it's extra fun). Of course her feet are white, so I am worried that I might miss some little speck of paint, and I keep wrestling her until we're both drenched. Then I carry her to the bathroom so I can find a colored towel to dry her with (and see if any white specks remain).
We've painted almost every room in this house, and never have the cats bothered with the paint... I did get the no VOC paint this time, since I can't open the windows to ventilate with it being so cold out...maybe it was the paint smell that kept them away before??
Re: Little white paw prints everywhere...
Hopefully the paint will come up from everything fairly easily!
This also reminds me of something my cat did one time. We had just finished eating breakfast and we ate at the coffee table watching some TV and my cat jumped from the couch and just so happened to land right in the middle of my husbands plate which was full of syrup from pancakes!!! Of course she freaked out and ran all over the apt which was completely carpeted... it took forever to find all the syrup spots in the carpet to clean them!
Oh, that's hilarious! (I'm sure it wasn't at the time, but looking back it must be!). Syrup probably dries clear, so that would have been a long process finding all the spots...maybe the cat could have helped by licking the carpet clean? (-;
The Fluffy Cat says... "Boxes are the best toys ever invented!"
I'm so sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought! I have 4 cats, and they keep me and DH entertained for hours sometimes.
I can't imagine how much she was struggling when you soaked her feet in the sink. Hopefully you got it all up!
