Recommend your Vacuum please!
So our 3 vacuums decided to break all within a week of each other. We have Christmas tree needles everywhere and a house full of crumbs and crap. I am a vacuuming fiend and it's driving me crazy.
could you please recommend a vacuum that has great suction and lasts more than 1 year (do they even make them like that anymore?)
Re: Recommend your Vacuum please!
I love my Dyson but they are on the pricier side. You might be able to get a good after-Christmas deal and I know you can use the Bed Bath and Beyond coupons on them if you go there (that is where I went for mine). They have several different ones so you don't have to get the really expensive one. I've had mine for over a year and we use it at least once a week, if not more.

I had a pricey bagless hoover and it worked great for about 2 years. Then it stopped sucking decently even though I changed belts and filters.
After a lot of research, I ended up getting - Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum ($76 on Amazon).
It has bags, which I LOVE. Way less messy than the bagless. I'm not out in the yard sucking crap into my lungs while I'm trying to bang out the dang filter, which never truely comes clean anyway. Who invented bagless filters system anyway? They're idiots. Anyway, it's also cheap, which I loved. And it still works AMAZINGLY. The one drawback is that it has a short extension hose which can be a pain sometimes. I think you can buy a longer hose.
I decided I would try it because it was so cheap and if I hated it after a year, I would buy a more expensive Dyson or Eureka. I ended up loving it so much that even it it does quit after 3-4 years, I'll buy a new one and spend less than my old POS bagless Hoover. I think I've owned it for a little less than a year now. Still sucks. Literally, not figuratively.
I
my Dyson Animal.
It takes care of all the puppy fur...and I swear to god, the first time I used it my 'clean' light blue carpet was brightened to a whole new shade of light blue....it sucked dirt out that I didn't know was even there.
It's pricey but I will never buy another type of vacuum again!!
love love love my dyson!!
i have the animal and it is amazing with all our cat fur. it works so well i never have to ues it b/c DH hogs it all the time!
