Ugh I still have not mailed my Thank you cards whaa! I feel terrible!

I really wanted to mail thank you cards with pics from our photographer but I have not recieved the pictures yet. My photographer sent me a email apologizing for the delay due to a death in the family.

 I was told I would recieve this month? Should I wait or just send without pics?

    Our wedding was August 30 and we didn't get our photos until December.  I really wanted to include photos on our TY cards so I just waited.  And then it took us months to get them all out.  I'm sure people understand.  I don't mind if I get TY cards late from people, as long as I get one eventually.  And I love when people use photos, so I'd rather wait for a card with photos.

    Yeah, I'd just wait for the pics and just start writing the cards first so that they'll be ready to go once you get the pics. Then your guests would get them a few weeks later than if you sent them out now, which isn't that much of a difference. Also, since guests officially have one year to get wedding presents, I would think brides have at least a year to get out the TY cards, no?

    well it sounds like the photos are coming soon so I would just wait. if you don't get them w/in the next few weeks I would probably just send out the TYs anyway.  you're technically supposed to send TYs w/in 2 months of receiving the gift but of course people are pretty understanding with wedding TYs... i agree that it would be nicer if you could do photo TYs

    Haha Sophia!  If you are a bad bride then I am a HORRIBLE one!  We also got our pictures late (5 months after the wedding!) also due to a death in the family and our photog getting sick.  We finally get our pics and I order our photo TY cards (btw, don't try to save $$ and order thru vistaprint), but the hubby & I have yet to start writing in them! hahaha!  They've been sitting on our dining table (aka wedding central) fro 2 weeks now!  But I blame the holidays... heeheehee! 

     

    I agree wtih pp's, I would definitely wait for the pics to come in.  I think ppl really appreciate seeing pics from the wedding, esp since yours was a destination wedding and not everyone was able to attend.
