New Years Eve?

Hi ladies,

The husband and I are trying to decide what to do for New Years Eve.  We were supposed to travel about 2 hours away but due to snow we aren't going to be traveling up there.

Is there anything good in the area that is going on?  I can't decide if I want to have a little party at my house or stay in and have a quiet evening.  Thanks ladies.

Re: New Years Eve?

  • I'm no help on this...every year DH and I talk about going to the big New Years Eve bash in downtown Hershey but it's usually cold so I wimp out..LOL.  This year we are making an appearance at a friends party then probably home since DH has to work on New Years Day.
  • I'm no help either - I see you from Columbia too...me too!  Altho now I live in West York.  We're staying home and inviting another couple over for some games/drinks/food. I like to stay warm =)

  • Several years ago I went downtown York for their festivities because SO was running their midnight race.  I'm much happier having dinner with friends and playing games.

Thanks for letting me know.  I was thinking about going down there...but to pay $10 (?) something for a button and to walk around the cold wasn't my ideal of a night.

  • I wished we lived closer to our friends because I would invite everyone over. We are going to a friend's bachelor pad in Hershey and my friend from Chicago and I are making two pots of soup for everyone instead of her signature italian food which she makes from scratch! Then the thought was to go to downtown Hershey because the Cherry Poppin Daddies are playing. Haha
  • We are just going to a friend's house and staying overnight.  Personally, I don't like to drive NYE.
  • I have to agree with pp...with the snow and worrying about driving...DH and I finally agreed to go to a nice dinner, just the two of us. And then have friends over around 9-10 for the ball drop.  We figure that we can get some time alone and we don't have to worry about any party getting out of control or anyone driving home.
