Seen Any Good Movies?

We went and saw Sherlock Holmes this weekend and thought it was good.  Before that I saw Precious with a friend and it was really powerful, provocative and difficult to watch.

Re: Seen Any Good Movies?

  • I haven't seen anything new. I want to see Sherlock Holmes though, glad to hear you liked it!

  • The last movie I saw was The Blind Side, which I loved.  We're always behind on movies.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • DH and I get a lot of movies on Netflix and we rarely go to the theaters. The last movie I saw was "I Love You, Man" which was funny. We just started watching Bruno and I can't even get past the first 10 minutes; just awful.

I really want to see Sherlock Holmes and I've been told that Avatar is a must see, but I don't know if I can sit throught 2 1/2 hours of it. Has anyone else seen that movie yet? And I definitely want to see the Blind Side.

  • We saw Avatar and loved it... even if you're not a fan of the plot (although I was)... the film itself is just beautiful.

Aside from that, we are behind on movies, as well. I want to see Precious, The Blind Side and Sherlock Holmes, but we'll probably wait 'til video for all 3.

  • Avatar is a must see!  I am not a huge sci-fi fan, but I was blown away.  I was worried about the 2 1/2 hours, but it flew by.  I saw it in 3D and it's worth it.

Before that I saw Pirate Radio (The Boat That Rocked), it was pretty good.  Entertaining for sure, but I don't think historically it's accurate.

  • We tried to watch Bruno last weekend and it was horrible. We turned it off after 15 minutes or so. It was so bad!!!! No good movies lately but I do want to see a ton of them!

  • Sherlock Holmes and Avatar are on the list.
