(not being negative...I am very grateful for what I have and what I received)
but was there something you thought you wanted for Christmas and didn't get?...
I thought I was going to get a tree skirt, but now I can make my own! (which is what I was wanting to do... and here is a project I can start AND finish, right? --see NY resolutions post)
Re: What DIDN'T you get?...
I got WAY over, above, and beyond anything I could have imagined. This is the first Christmas in YEARS that actually felt like Christmas (present wise). I couldn't have even asked for more.
The only thing that I actually NEEDED was clothes and I just bought those on super duper sale (16 shirts for 100 bucks).
I also wanted a big print of a wedding picture and I just ordered that also.
ETA: Most imporantaly a baby but we see that didnt happen....
I wanted to see my sisters and hang out with MY family and not DH's family like we do every.single.year. (I love them but c'mon...).
Winter weather fail. Thanks Mother Nature. *Kicks snow in air*
A food processor.
For the family gift exchange, I asked for a cheapo food mill and a food processor, and instead got an expensive food mill... I kicked myself in the head for being greedy and asking for two things, and for putting the food mill first... dang it!
In retrospective, I should've asked for a sewing machine, and I would've gotten an expensive one! ::kicks herself again::
Meh I really didnt want much this year.
I jokingly asked for the Tiffanys necklace never thinking I would get it and I did!
Pregnant ladies (or other ones for that matter) should NOT be kicking themselves-virtually or for real!
But I hear ya! I'll 'virtually' send you my machine that's sitting with a cover on it all dusty... (cheapo Singer..., but helped make some wedding table runners....)
I wanted alot, but didnt ask. Dh and I did not exchange gifts this year, since we close on the house in 25 days. ALot of family gave us $$$, wich was super!
I want one of these too. You could try to argue your way into getting it for the baby. I have a friend who did that. I'm hoping to use that argument and that it will work!
Sigh...that's the exact angle I'm taking. I'll keep you posted.
Good luck ladies!! This was my wedding present from DH. I love it!!
