I'm here, working. It's my first day back after vacation and I'm not very happy about the desk full of paperwork that all says "see me" on it. Ew.

On a slightly more upbeat note, DH and I are starting to think seriously about making a permanent move south!

I'm here...BORED!!! I don't go back to work till the 4th. When I substitute taught I would have days like this all the time with no work and I don't know how I did it. My sister is supposed to be coming over today so hopefully that will help. I want to go out shopping but we got dumped with snow the past 2 days....plus I don't exactly have the money to do that.

I'm here, but don't have much to report. I just cleaned off my desk and I'm considering hitting the Pier One sale over lunch. I have absolutely nothing to do - okay, so maybe I could find some things. I've heard that the layoffs will continue next week. Happy New Year.

DH is from the South (we were just in GA visiting his family) and the only reason we moved up here is to try to get a good start career-wise, especially since my family has a lot of helpful connections. Unfortunately, since the recession has been so bad, these connections haven't been as helpful as we would like. So DH is underemployed and I have a feeling my boss is going to retire within the next couple of years. Add the high cost of living up here and it's not the best situation.

Now he's thinking that he wants to go to law school rather than beat his head against the wall trying to find a job. We talked about it and the best place for him to do that would be further south, where there are good public universities with lower in-state costs. We would want to move soonish to establish residency and try to get him at least an internship in a law firm down there to make sure that it's what he wants.

The move south was always in our plans, it's just coming a little sooner than we previously anticipated.

Present! Not working...should be cleaning for guests we're expecting. It'll get done! They won't be here for another 8 hours. Also waiting for (the third time) Salvation Army to get here and pick up furniture we're donating. If it doesn't work this time, I'm calling Goodwill.

I'm here and trying to work (trying is the key word). I had a really wack sleep last night and I am so tired and cranky from it. DH is still at home in bed and thinking about that just makes it worse!

Hm... saying that definitely made me feel a tiny bit better. Thanks for the little vent. Smile

I'm here! I just recapped Christmas morning and my favorite Christmas gifts/sale finds in my blog.

I have to go into work at 3 this afternoon, but its my last shift until Saturday, so I guess I can deal with that.

I'm here...and working...boooooo! I'm thinking about when to take down Christmas decorations. Probably this weekend since we're supposed to get a couple feet of snow and I won't be going anywhere :P

I'm working... kinda. Most people are still out of the lab this week, but I'm trying not to take too many days off so that DH and I can go to Park City in Feb with some friends....

We got home late last night and carried everything in. Dropped all our crap right inside the front door... so it makes me hate my messy house Now only if I had time to clean it up...
