Since the New Year is nearly here...

...how did this year treat you?[Poll]

Re: Since the New Year is nearly here...

  • I'm somewhere in between the first two options...  this past year definitely ROCKED 'cause I got married to my adorable hubby!  But all the planning during those last 3 months before the wedding wasn't so much fun (and neither was dealing with my mother!).  But absolutely more ups than downs.  I definitely hope the new year can live up to the awesome parts of my 2009!  :)
  • I'm gonna say it pretty much rocked because we did a lot of awesome travel (Tahoe, Park City, Japan, Hawaii, Florida, London) and got PG pretty quick once we started trying.  Pregnancy has been nice and easy.  Got my 5DMkII and some awesome lenses.  What more could I ask for?

  • 2009 was really, really tough on so many levels.  I just know that if I could make it through 2009, I can make it through anything.  It definitely made me a stronger person!
  • I'm kind of in between the first two.  A lot of great things happened in 2009 - I graduated from the hardest training I've ever done, started a new career (still in the military but ten times better than my last job), moved to Germany, got promoted, and most of all, got married to MH and we FINALLY are in the same place.  However, 2009 was a very stressful year - the training was rough and long, the move to Germany was complicated, the wedding stress was hard to deal with (especially with my step mother).

So I am hoping 2010 is a great year... one with many ups but most of all, not as much stress as 2009.  Unfortunately I don't think that is going to happen because I have more training and will most likely be deploying.  But until all that happens - I'm going to enjoy living in Germany with my new husband and my somewhat new job.  Big Smile

  • I, too, was in between the first two.  Getting married was awesome, but also stressful.  Overall, the year was good, which MH and I deserved after a very tough 2008 (MH lost his job then, my Grandmother passed away, as did MH's cat) Plus, I have a feeling 2010 is going to be even better, as we can't wait for out LO to arrive!

  • i am somewhere in b/t 1st & 2nd options as well.  I got married & b/c of wedding got to spend almost 2 weeks in Hawaii!  But wedding planning was a little stressful (especially b/c of those that didn't want to go to Hawaii - seriously who doesn't want to go to Hawaii!?!?).  We also bought a house, but that will ROCK a whole lot more when we can actually live in it!

So lots of good things & of course, a few downs...while 2009 was great, I have hopes for an even better 2010!

  • My answer is also 1 & 2. Not sure if it's just me but I think this year went by REALLY fast! Maybe we were just too busy but I can't believe this year is almost over. DH & I surivived our first year of marriage lol. There were a few adjustments but I think we both got the hang of it now ;-).
