Soooooo, SIL and her dog-whacking kid were supposed to turn up like 2 hours and they're still not here. We're going to dinner with MIL and FIL in 40 minutes, so I'm presuming this means the visit is off.
She and I have never gotten along, mostly because she's a selfish nutbag, but does it make me a bad person that I'm secretly gleeful about this? I actually feel guilty because I think Ben is disappointed that she's flaked on him yet again (I kind of expected it - she's perpetually an hour or more late for everything, but I thought maybe since she's only staying like a 2 minute drive away she might pull it together for this visit).
So - yaaay for me because I don't have to smile and nod through gritted teeth while she visits. And booooo for her being a selfish hobag who disappointed my husband yet again. ![]()
Re: *moonwalks across board*
LMAO!!!!!
aww
poor Ben, I can only imagine how hard that must be. (especially when she's staying so close! what is with her?! that's pretty inexcusable)
...but YAY for you!
*sneaking in*
is this the same sil and bil who pretty much trashed your place last year? did they trash it? i remember drama with cigarette butts everywhere and such... and something like they weren't tell you how long they were gonna stay...
if so, i hope they don't turn up! hehehe
*sneaking out*
hawaii 10.2008 plan ;P married bio ???
Good memory! Yes, these are the same ones. The year before last, they stayed with us (I said NO WAY for this year) and didn't have a specific leaving date in mind. They also brought drugs into my house (since god forbid you go on vacation with a 5 month old without some pot, right?) and left over 100 cigarette butts all over my front lawn (even though the garbage can was *right there*). When they were over here for dinner last week, SIL was smoking and I could see her thinking about putting her butt in an area of our garden that has rocks around the plants. She caught me giving her the stink eye and then made this big drama about finishing her can of coke and putting the butt in there instead. *eyeroll*
i just read this. i assume they didn't show up??

Nope! Didn't call to say they weren't going to, either. Just saw us at dinner that night and said, "Oh yeah, sorry we didn't show......"
