You know you're old when...

...I went out last night w a bunch of gals from high school-I've been out for 20 yrs.  We had dinner-which was nice, then went up to this other room to hear some guys play acoustical music...

(For those near Phila/MD/NJ area--it's the lead singer and another guy from Mr. Greengenes-I grew up with them-really, from 5 yrs old til now)...

A bunch of other folk we graduated with were there and it was one of those things... I know I know that person, but don't know their names... Some ignored you, some came up and gave you a hug.  I though-who the hell is this?!

Obviously, I'm at the stage---if I'm still not friends with you-why should I care now?  (wow-I sound so cynical-I was a quiet person in hs-band/chorus/musical geek)  One of my ex's was there with his wife-he didn't know whether to just wave to me or kiss my cheek or what-THAT was kind of funny... (DH was not there-he would have hated it)

One gal said-oh, how's your cycle (wha?!)... she read something I typed on FB with a 'shared' friend.  THAT freaked me out!

So, moral of this long thing... some things that didn't matter back then... still don't. Glad I have the good friends I have!
