Not sure where to post this...
...but I have a question...I am a 35 year old mom of 2 (a son 13 and a daughter 10), they live with their Dad...I had my tubes tied after the birth of my daughter. I now have a new man who wants more kids...I am ok with that but am unsure if it is better to have my tubes untied or to do the invitro thing, doctor says it is possible to untie but is it the right thing to do??? Anyone been in this situation that could give me some advice and maybe the pros and cons???
Re: Not sure where to post this...
It's possible, but no one can tell you if it's the right thing. You'll have to make that decision for yourself.
If you haven't already, I'd do some research on fertility treatments. It's very likely even with having the reversal that you might end up needing them. They are very costly and very physically and emotionally taxing. You might want to decide in advance if that's a road you're willing/able to go down.
I believe that a reversal is covered by OHIP (and most other provincial health care plans), whereas IVF isn't. So you might want to start with the reversal.
Good luck
