Re: love my dh BUT

  • Ha ha - I agree. My DH and I work opposite schedules so when I was home for maternity leave, it was weird spending 24/7 with him. I often say that if we did work the same schedule, I think I'd go crazy with him around all the time!

  • my dh is at home while I am working this week. He has decided to clean everything out before I have surgery on my foot in two weeks. I came home Monday and our entire storage area had been disassembled and put back together in his way of perfect. I guarantee he wont be able to find a single thing in three weeks, Yesterday was the kitchen. Since he uses it more, I didnt mind. He did go out and purchase attachments he had to have for our kitchenaid mixer (meat grinder and pasta maker) more manly items. Today he is working on our bedroom. I am dreading going home to find my clothing everywhere and reorganized.

My parents have been married for 46 years. For most of those years my mom worked 2nd or 3rd shift (hospital) while my dad worked days. They are convinced they are still married because they worked opposite shifts all those years!

  • As you know, my DH became unemployed in May, and I started my maternity leave in September.  There is such a thing as too much togetherness   :)   He started a new job this week, so now hopefully absence will make the heart grow fonder.

DH tried to clean & organize when he moved in after the wedding.  I just about took his head off & he hasn't cleaned since.  I found expensive makeup and a pair of prescription sunglasses in a box in the garage a year later.

Karma-my dad swears that he's going to get a part time job when he retires so he & my mom don't drive each other nuts.  I think my  mom is dreading his retirement!

  • DH got laid off back in February, about 2 days after I told my boss I was going to be a SAHM.  He was off for 7 months.  That was 7 full months of being together almost 24/7, complete with a new baby.  To top it off, with both of us being unemployed, we were trying to watch our spending so we basically stayed home all day, every day.  It was a lot of togetherness, and we drove each other nuts, but looking back on it I'm glad he got to spend that time with Allie (and with me too I guess).
