NYE Plans?

::I hope we didn't already discuss this::

So what are you and your family and/or friends doing for NYE?

DH and I are going to church in the evening then going to a friend's house party.

Re: NYE Plans?

  • We're watching The Hangover and drinking cocktails with some friends.  The Rose Parade takes place about 50 feet from our house so there's thousands of people camped out on the street partying all night.  We'll probably join them for the countdown.
  • We are just going to a friends house, a low key NYE this year
  • i have my 4d ultrasound tomorrow - so excited!  both sets of baby sharpie's grandparents will be there, so it will be so special.  cross your fingers we don't see any body parts below the belt!  still hoping to keep the sex a surprise

tomorrow night, we are going to our beach club....a group of 30, including TJ's parents, my parents, our grandparents and some friends for a late dinner then to the beach for some champagne (or sparkling cider) for midnight!  i'll be 1 of 5 pregnant chicks there, so it should be a good time!  :)

  • i am cooking a big dinner for some friends and we will have a movie night: American Pimp (a crazy azz documentary about pimpin lol) and probably The Jerk. My house will be the low key chill house and next door our friends are throwing a wild party, so we might be walking back and forth. I just am at the age where i could really give a sh!t about NYE, but i have been wanting to do a movie night for a while and this works out!
  • We have no plans, but I wanted to pipe in that I am going to live vicariously through y'all tomorrow night!! Haha have a sip of champagne for me, please!
  • We got a hotel in downtown Milwaukee and my two old college roommates are coming to visit with their husbands and we're going to hang out in the hotel for a little, then go to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant around 8, and then go out downtown!  Should be fun!

  • We're staying in for the most part but we might stop by a few house parties we were invited to...trying to keep it low key this year
  • We have no plans for NYE.  We are usually pretty quite.  Stay home and watch tv.
  • working a wedding.  It's going to be FREEZING

  • Going to a friends house to hang out and have a few drinks. Very low key! Last year was spent at a party watching everyone get wasted, I had just found out a few days before that I was pregnant!

  • Lo and I are driving back to Corpus tomorrow morning :(. Then we're going to Joe's uncles house for Menudo.
  • Going to a kid friendly NYE party, but we won't stay until midnight.

I really want to go visit my parents instead.

  • We're hosting a family dinner, on the menu so far is: Eric's deep-fried turkey, my cornbread stuffing, my 5 cheesey-mac & cheese, gravy. For dessert is: tres leche cake & andes mint brownies. Then we're partying it up with about 30 people at our house. We will be salsa dancing the night away. Just how we like it! We just finished fixing up the garage for the dancefloor, we're going to have a blast tomorrow. I love NYE!

  • We aren't really doing anything this year! Just drinking at home and bring in the New year with DH and the Dogs.
  • nothing on the books.... DH has to work... the joys of being the wife of a chef I guess.... he said he *might* be home by midnight
  • We are totally going low-key. I am doing a small plate and wine pairing dinner ala our favorite restaurant and then we are playing Wii and trying to stay up to ring in the New Year.
  • No plans as of yet! lol. Only cause we've been so frickin busy we haven't even thought about it. Last night was the 1st time I could have a one on one convo with tj.. in person.. since saturday. And even that was when we were driving to and from my sisters lol. I'm working, so he's the one left to figure it out for us. His friend has been home from the militiary since spring and he probably sees him less now then when he was away. Or so tj says lol. so he was trying to see what him and his fiance were doing. If not, then we have a nice lowkey thing at a friend's we could go to.

  • We're having a NYE party which is nice because I can celebrate and (hopefully) make it down the stairs and all will be good :)
  • i've spent NYE every year since we were kids with all of my cousins.  we'll be playing dress up this year and having a big turkey dinner.  i'm making a yummy mac and cheese recipe from paula deen.
