Anyone doing anything fun for NYE?
Just curious what people are doing this NYE? I never know if I want to stay in or go out. I'm going out this year to a BYPA event. Not sure what the night will bring!
Re: Anyone doing anything fun for NYE?
I was just about to post this same question, but couldn't remember if we'd done it already
What's BYPA?
We're going to be in Chicago because I'm a BM in a wedding on 1/2. No actual plans for NYE right now, I've just kept the calendar open in case the bride needs help with something.
BYPA is the Boston Young Professionals Association. They have events for people age 40 and under. A lot of networking, sporting, mingling type events. It's a good mix of people and not totally geared towards singles which I like! Here's their website: www.bostonypa.com
DH is working overnight NYE, so I'm having a couple girl friends over. We're going to have appetizers and champagne, discuss our 101 Things lists, and make dream boards. I think it will be a lot of fun to relax and have some girl time. After last year's snow storm, I didn't feel like going out this year. Plus it will help save some money!
Ah, that's what I thought but wasn't sure. I've never spent much time checking them out, but I'll take a look at the link.
What a great idea! I'm having a girls night Jan 8th and I may steal this!
This is a great idea! I loooove Montreal. Have fun!
We're staying local, a friend of ours is hosting. We'll be sharing home made wine and champagne and every one is bringing a different dish for dinner. It'll be a lot of fun. I kind of hope it snows
Montreal sounds wonderful, we've never been but want to go sometime this year. Let us know how it is.
We were thinking of going to Top of the Hub, we've never been before, has anyone else gone? Or maybe No. 9 Park St? We've never been to either.
I would recommend No. 9 Park over Top of the Hub. Granted it's been many, many years (over 10) since I've been to the Hub but both times I've been in the past we had horrible service and I refuse to ever go back. No. 9 Park on the other hand was fantastic in terms of both food and service. If you go, definitely have the prune stuffed gnocchi appetizer--so good!
I'd be happy to give a report! And if you want to book at either of those restaurants, I suggest booking now (if they still have availability). They are wicked popular and I'm sure they will be for the holiday's too. No. 9 Park is an amazing restaurant. I've been to one of her other restaurants (Sportello). I'd be happy to help you with a reservation (i'm a hotel concierge in the city, i have a few connections. :-) )
I third No 9 Park.
I have a lot of friends who work there so we always stop in on slower nights and enjoy delicious bites of this or that.
And...by chance are you a relocated Buckeye from Ohio?
I am!
I am as well! I grew up in southwest Ohio. Are you a Buckeye fan? I'm hoping for a win in the bowl game tomorrow!
