we just moved here! and have a q

we moved to DFW from houston.  My parents are coming the second weekend in Jan - what is there to do in this area?  Ft Worth Zoo.  Aquarium?

is there a site I can reference?

thanks for all your help!

Re: we just moved here! and have a q

  • I like the FW zoo, but it might still be cold.  I really like the Money Factory north of Fort Worth (moneyfactory.gov).  The tour and visitor's center is free.  I like Grapevine Mills for the experience of such a massive indoor shopping mall.  I've heard the Cabela's store is fun.  The FW Science Museum is small, but would be fun for kids.

I've heard the aquarium in Dallas is very nice.

    Enjoy!

  • The Dallas World Aquarium is alot of fun! It's a little on the pricey side for what you get though, IMO. My younger siblings really like the FW Science Museum. We also love the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth (esp. the Japanese Gardens) but like the zoo, it may be too cold.

  • The Ft Worth Science Museum just reopened after a huge remodel. It looks awesome!
  • The Omni Theater inside the FW museum of science and history is always a fun option, especially if y'all have never been.?
  • 7 Salsas in Coppel ---- AWESOME mexican food!

Alot of people come from other states to visit the Ikea in Frisco! While your at it you can visit Sam Moon, and the Stonebriar mall!

I like the Fort Worth Zoo much more than the Dallas Zoo. (Last time I went to Dallas most of the animals were very sick looking--it was sad!)

The Body Exhibition is AMAZING if you're in to health science! It's about $20 per person though :(

With kids--- Ride the Tarantula Train from Grapevine to Fortworth (vice versa)! When you get to your destination go shopping then board the train for a ride back home!

    :) Have fun!
