I'm going to out myself on this post so that I can join in on the fun. I just told Lesli this the other day in an email, but I discovered you guys posting on the May 2006 board a few months ago. I was doing some research for my sister's wedding on the knot (because I was looking for stationary design ideas for her), and I saw that they still had those old anniversary boards up. I thought, "hmmm...I wonder if anyone posts on these boards." So I clicked into the May 2006 board (my anniversary month) and was shocked to find posts from a whole bunch of names I recognized. I thought I was back on the Central PA board for a second. Anyway, I've been lurking ever since. Lesli said it would be alright if I started posting, so I hope that's ok with everyone else.
Now on to T...that girl drives me NUTS! I remember when I first read some of her posts on the knot and I thought she was a total bridezilla, post whoring, nutcase. I knew it was only a matter of time before she joined the nest and moved her antics there! I'm so glad to see that there are others who realize she's crazy instead of adding fuel to her fire. I'm really sorry that she's experiencing IF. It is something that I'm sure is very heartbreaking and emotionally charged, but I honestly don't think that there is any way that she's remotely ready for a child. She was nuts to even think about TTC right after her wedding. She must have her DH wrapped around her little finger. They were only like 24 years old when they got married and started TTC immediately. At the same time she was starting school (and complaining about a lack of time and the horrible scheduling at Millersville), didn't have a job (but complained about not having money), bought a new house (that they probably couldn't afford and is probably now way underwater, but I can just imagine that she HAD to have a house because everyone else was doing it), and acted like she was 5 years old. I honestly think that the reason she was so gung ho baby was because "everyone else was doing it." What a whack-o!
Thanks for letting me vent out all my T frustrations. I hope that everyone has a very healthy and happy new year!
Yay, Becki....welcome to the fun! Your comments about T are right on...she is a whacko indeed. She is in no way ready to have a baby and I totally agree that she started TTC because everyone else was.
