i'm still at work...lame. we are heading out to the beach later with our hollowed out pineapples and secret stash of mai tais in the cooler 
they have a a blue moon surf at midnight that we are thinking about doing too...should be fun.

I'm still at work...after work I have a NST at L&D and then home for the night...alone with the furbabies...J has to work. I am hoping that his customers are at least generous with their tips on NYE!

MH has to work until 11:00, so I'm just hoping I manage to stay awake until he gets home! I sent him to work with a pan of lasagna rollups and another pan of brownies, so, hopefully, his coworkers will like it and it will make their night go a little faster!

I am still at work too.
We had hopes of getting out early, but with only an hour & half left, it is looking doubtful. As for tonight, probably go to a friend's house party & then to the French Quarter for fireworks over the river!

Ooooh, I want pineapple mai tais!
While helping some friends move a few weeks ago, we were joking about how they'd be too worn out to go downtown on New Year's Eve and we'd end up hosting most boring party in history - everybody sits around doing nothing.
The joke-plan has become reality... we'll be hanging out in t-shirts and jeans, playing board games and drinking beer. We've christened it "Lame NYE 2009!" (including the exclamation point, that is very important).
We had plans to go watch some fireworks that our town was putting on, but by the time it got dark (it's summer here, remember so it's not dark until like 9.30pm) we were feeling too lazy. So we just sat around at home by ourselves instead.
And then, um, horizontally rang in the New Year at midnight, if you know what I mean. Sorry if that's TMI, but it was the only interesting part of the evening lol.

OOOOO! This sounds fun!!! We (read: I) couldn't make up my mind about what to do and now I'm tired. But, we have tickets to go to a party at a golf course about a mile from home. I'm off now to go do someone's hair for the party, come home and chill out for a bit since I've been working since 7am, then head over to the party later.....IF I can pry my butt off the couch. And I've got to get MH to go pick up some sushi for dinner when I get back.
