Come on ... I know you've got at least one. Cliche is okay ![]()
I'm trying NOT to make mine loose weight. I started counting calories and going back to the gym this week. That way, if I start before new years, it's not a resolution - it's a commitment. Right? Hehe
My New Year's resolution is to take more pictures of family and friends. Especially since my parents are moving away and won't be 3 miles down the road anymore, I want to capture as many memories as I can.
Also .... to quit bossing my husband around so much
I won't say quit altogether, because we all know men need a little bossing now and then. I will admit (not to his face) that I may have been a little controlling this last year. SIGH. If only he would make the decisions I want him to make! LOL
Re: What is your New Year's resolution?
I have resolved to have a kick ass 2010.
The first part of 2009 kicked MY ass, so I think that resolution makes sense and is general enough that I can include stuff like "look better naked" as part of my 2010 master plan.
I have also resolved to have a fancy date for NYE with someone who makes me smile and owns his own tuxedo. Oh wait! I can cross that one off the list; I've already got it on my calendar.

My resolution is to keep working out and not gain a TON of weight while pg. I tend to gain weight easily so it might be hard.
I just want to be as healthy as I can be.
I didn't make my 2009 goal of paying off all our wedding so it's going to be my 2010 goal which hopefully will be done by March.
Mine are similar. I want to eat healthier and work out. DH is so good about working out and I have gotten so lazy about it. I don't think I'm going to take classes this semester so I can use that time to get my body healthier.
I'd also like to buy a house this year but I don't know if that's really a resolution.
GL to everyone!
Get back to the shape I was in in June-which means a healthier lifestyle altogether, but mostly exercising regularly.
Travel! DH and I want to get some trips in before TTC.
Save money toward a house (which may be difficult given we want to travel)
Get a permanent job with benefits so the last two are remotely feasible

My 101
Mine are very similar to everyone else's. I would love to be back in better shape. I'm going to start working out a little bit a few times a week, but once I'm done with classes in June at the latest I will have a lot more time to dedicate to it.
The only thing I will add is I'm going to try and have a more positive outlook when it comes to anything IL related. I absolutely HATE doing anything with them because they are stuck-up, controlling and think they are better than everyone else
. But I think I should be more accepting that they are the way they are and its not going to change.
Go, Guava! Your dating sounds a whole lot more fun than my married dating.
One of mine is similar to SaraL's. I want to get off my husband's back, treat him w/ more respect, and encourage him more. I've found myself ranting a lot about all the things I wish he'd do differently, which needs to be in much smaller proportion to the things I say to show support and appreciation. On a similar note, I want to be the best mom I can be and become more selfless all around. This includes volunteering more too.
Ha! That's awesome!
This for me too!!! Plus drop at least 15 pounds. I am really hopeful working out will give me more engery and give me a better attitude with DH too!
"The House We Built."
A journey of building the dream.
I want to get all of our credit card debt paid off. Since I got my job in April, DH and I have been working really hard to pay off our credit card debt and save money for a house so I really want to have enough saved up this year for a down payment and at least one month's worth of bills before we buy a house as well as 0 credit card debt.
Also, my goal is just to stay above water and not get any more debt. DH is having heart surgery this year so we already know that 2 months are going to be hard.
TTC #1 since February 2011

March 2012- Dx with PCOS, started metformin
July 2012- SA completely normal
My resolution is to slow down and be less stressed. Last year was a banner year for us, but we crammed so many big life-changing events into the past 12 months that I feel like the knots in my back (from stress) might be permanent. We bought a house, packed the old house, moved, started unpacking the new house (which was a foreclosure, so we have lots of cosmetic stuff to do to make it homey), had a baby, bought a car... Way too much.
I'm looking forward to slowing down and enjoying 2010 at my own pace.

I'm resolving to:
- Be nicer to my DH. Less fly-off-the-handle about dumb sh!t and more let-it-go.
- Actually do a Nest Book Club challenge. I love reading, but I spend far too much time watching TV instead.
- Be a little more frugal and stop spending like we have two incomes instead of one.
- Exercise more. Let's face it: I LOVE to eat and I'm just not willing to stop eating what I love. But I can get out and run/walk 4 times a week.
- Spend my day times playing with DS. I'm a SAHM, not a housekeeper, so why worry about the laundry, dishes, bathrooms, etc. when I should be reading books, coloring pictures, taking walks, and playing at the playground with the best 2 year old ever!
I was a little upset about the new year yesterday. I am definitely thankful for many things that happened over the last year, but I really don't feel like I grew or developed more as a person and that's something I want to improve. Getting my degree, a new job and working out regularly will make me happy.
I have already talked to a counselor about getting back on track with school, have a good job prospect and we are assembling a workout room in the new house that will make it somewhat enjoyable and not so much a PITA.
As far as the new job goes, I am frustrated that I don't feel like I have a "career", just a job. If my prospect comes through, I think I will be closer to comfort with that one. We'll see in the spring.
That is an awesome resolution.
