So how was everyone's holiday week?
I am sad it is almost over. Today was "second Christmas" with my family (what Steve calls our Christmas with whoever we didn't see Christmas day). I like that second Christmas gave a chance to take advantage of the post-holiday sales. Christmas in Tenn with his mom and her husband was nice (but soooo far away). Next year we are staying home, I want a real tree next year. We just did the little fake tree this year because we were going to be gone.
It is great to see all these babies having their first Christmas!
Re: So how was everyone's holiday week?
I was wondering how your trip went! Glad that you had a nice time and are home safely.
I was supposed to take vacation time this past week but since I was out almost 2 weeks sick prior to that, I needed to work and see clients. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated though and made me want to keep working pt instead of quitting to stay at home as we've considered recently. So... good week & I'm loving this weekend at home.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season. Ours was great and although I am sad it is over, I am looking forward to getting back to normal and starting a wonderful 2010! Keaton had a great time and guess what?! He is napping in his CRIB!!!!! I started nap training right after Christmas and within a few days he is napping in his crib and doing very well. I'm so happy...I think that is the best gift I got this year. : ) I spent all week working on it and I achieved success.
Christina, I can't believe Ethan will be 1 year old this month!!!! It seems like yesterday when you posted that video of you telling Matt you were pregnant. Unbelievable!!! What kind of party are you having for him?
I had a great week!! Got to see family, friends, my cutest Godson, Keaton, spent a lot of time with Scott!! Spent 2 whole days. yesterday and today in my jammies!!! I am so not ready to go back to work on Monday, however, I am sooo excited for June - So bring it on!!!!
I can't believe Ethan is turning one either!! Time flies -- he is soo handsome - I love the pics!!
Lesli, I am so happy for you!!!! That is such a great accomplishment! What did you end up using for training?
Thanks, Angela! Your days in jammies sound really nice!
I can't believe he's going to be a year already too. I decided to do the ever popular Winter Onederland theme for his party.
I used this photo for his invitations:

Christina - You are sooo creative --- LOVE the pic and the theme - SO CUTE!!!!!
That pic is so adorable and I love the theme too! I can't wait to see pics of this party because I know you will do an awesome job with all your creative talents.
I ended up using the Ferber method and he responded VERY well. I was actually surprised that within 5 minutes of putting him down in the crib awake he would fall asleep with little fussing! I was shocked! He would only sleep about 30-45 minutes and wake up screaming but I let him go for 5 minutes, go up and pat him without picking him up, leave, come back 10 minutes later...etc, etc. I found that within 10 minutes he usually would put himself back to sleep. In a couple days he was sleeping longer stretches and waking up much more happy. He responded within 2 days and is doing great now. I was worried about doing the whole CIO but the longest he would cry would be like 10 minutes. It was tough to hear him cry but this seemed to work the best for us. I also did a mini version of our bedtime routine for his nap routine. He now knows that as soon as I take him up and turn on his lullabye music and put him in his sleep sack that it is time for nap. I put him in the crib and he gives me a big yawn and drifts off to sleep. I was so surprised that he caught on so quickly. : )
Ethan is so cute!!! Total AW.
Way to go Keaton! Go Lesli, you have awesome mommy skills.
I need to get diapers for this diaper cake - does anyone know if they have Pamper swaddlers (or any other plain white diaper) at BJ's?
Thanks Denise!! I'm almost 100% positive they have pampers swaddlers at BJ's. We usually buy from there.
So glad to hear everyone had a great week! We did, too....although we're all exhausted from all the travel we've been doing. The girls had a fantastic Christmas. The look on Eloise' face on Christmas morning was priceless...and she swears she heard Santa up on our roof on Christmas Eve! I can't wait until next year when both girls go crazy!
Love all the new baby pictures, too! Such cuties on this board!
sounds like everyone had an awesome holiday week!
