Goodnights comedy club

Has anyone been?

Our anniversary is in February and the traditional 1st anniversary gift is paper.  DH wants to see Dave Coulier (sp?) the guy that played Joey on Full House.  He is coming in April.  I'm just wondering if I buy the tickets now (they have a Thursday night deal that is an appetizer and 2 dinners in the Old Bar and tickets to the show for $30) what are the chances of them changing who is coming in that time?  I'm afraid it'll sell out if I wait too long.

Re: Goodnights comedy club

  • DH and I went a couple of years ago and really liked it. I'm not sure why we haven't been back, but we just haven't. I can't remember the name of the main guy that we saw, but he was very funny. I do remember that the food upstairs (I guess that's the Old Bar) wasn't the best... but it has been a couple of years since we went.

Maybe call and ask them about if their comedian changes... maybe you could get a refund??

  • I'm pretty sure their schedule is pretty set - but Shh's recommendation of calling and asking is a good one!  Also - I love Dave Coulier - I might need to look into that :)
  • We went to see Aisha Tyler under the Thursday night special and really enjoyed it.  The food isn't great but it's more economical than just buying the tickets.  Go in expecting bar food and you should be good :)

As for the schedules, they are pretty set (you know, unless something unfortunate happens with the performers).  We have a friend who performs there sometimes and he knows months in advance (he's currently living in NY).  One thing to maybe ease your mind (in addition to calling Charlie Goodnights) is to check out the performer's website to see if it's on his tour dates as well.

Good luck with your gift :)

  • Thanks ladies....I figured it was bar food, but it's still a good deal and we aren't picky.
